Travelers aboard British Airways will soon access high-speed connectivity during flights without charge after a recent agreement from SpaceX's satellite provider.

British Airways stated that the complimentary, “reliable and lightning-fast” connectivity provision via the satellite provider is set to be available for customers in economy, business, or premium cabins as of the coming month.

Widespread Implementation Across Several Flight Operators

The holding firm for British Airways, the airline group, announced it had finalized an deal with SpaceX to offer wifi coverage across more than 500 aircraft operated by its carriers, including the Irish airline, Iberia, and Vueling.

Seamless Connectivity from Boarding through Landing

BA noted that this rollout of the system was part of a seven billion pound “upgrade” initiative and would offer lag-free connectivity access for passengers from boarding to arrival, including when traveling above oceans or isolated areas.

Travelers will be able to connect several devices while do not have to use a separate access code.
